Do you take a percentage of my food sales?+
Never. You bring your own payment method and customers pay you directly — Stovefront never touches the money. You pay one flat subscription for the platform, and every dollar of food revenue is yours.
How do customers pay me?+
At checkout, they see your payment options with the amount and an order code pre-filled. They pay you on Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, Zelle, or your card link, then tap "I've sent it." You confirm when it lands — simple and honest.
Is selling home-cooked food legal?+
It depends on your local cottage food laws, which vary by state and county. Stovefront gives you the tools to sell; you're responsible for following the rules where you cook. We'll prompt you to confirm you comply at signup.
Do I need my own website?+
Nope. Your Stovefront is your web page — a clean, branded storefront you can share anywhere with a single link.
Can customers order without an account?+
Yes — guest checkout is the default so nothing stands between a hungry neighbor and your food. Optional lightweight accounts make reordering one tap.
What if I only sell some weeks?+
Totally fine. Publish a menu when you're cooking and go quiet when you're not. Your storefront waits patiently; your subscription is the only constant.
